Stride Lab is designed to enhance running performance through a comprehensive approach consisting of skill development and strength training.

 

Stride Lab is highly customized to meet the needs of each athlete regardless of their experience level and to match the needs of their current performance goals.

Course Details: 

  • Stride Lab meets 2x/week for 1 hour, but can be adjusted to meet your needs

  • Exercises are selected to train running patterns and balance patterns often left undertrained by runners

  • Exercises are personalized to match your current training needs (workout day, recovery day, pre-meet, etc.)

  • Instructor takes time with individuals as needed to ensure proper form and technique

  • Emphasis place on goal-setting and improving the mental side of high-performance running

Level 1: Introduction

Level 1 is designed for those who are new to running or if you are getting back to it after a long break. This is a great way to help prepare for your first 5k!

For summer 2025, Level 1 will be taught at the Merge Performance Institute in Dubuque. Sign up using the link below.

Level 2: Competition

Level 2 is designed for runners who are familiar with or actively competing in races. This includes age groups from middle school up to and beyond college (classes will be age-sorted).

For summer 2025, Level 2 will be taught at Volv in downtown Dubuque. Sign up for the Youth Program to register for Stride Lab.

Individual and Team Options

John does offer one-on-one sessions. While more expensive, this may be the best option for you. Contact John using the link below to find out more.
